Historically, how does a presidential election fare on the markets? We have all been told that buy and hold is the long term strategy. Through different Presidential Elections, the US has been through a number of landmark events. Some tend to forget, fearing that the present is different then the past. Let's take a look in the rear view mirror at some of these landmark events, including war, impeachment, depressions and recessions, deficits and surpluses, all the way back to 1932.
